Executive Director
It has been proposed that The Augustan Society, Inc., create the office of Executive Director. This will require a majority vote of the Board to put the matter on the ballot, and a majority vote of the members to amend the By-Laws. Until that time, the qualifications, duties, and authority of this theoretical office are but theories. The Society does not presently have the office of Executive Director.
The intent of the proposal is that the Board would meet only once per year, that primarily to confirm the appointment and set the compensation of the Executive Director, with the latter taking over the administraion of the Society, including all functions and powers of the President save his role as Chief of the Order of the Augustan Eagle, and all functions and powers of the Board save the authority to amend the By-Laws.
