The Art Director is responsible for finding appropriate supplemental artwork for all the articles that appear in the ''Omnibus''. This includes cover art, as well as art to support various articles.
Like all contributors, the Art Director to be aware of the must either obtain copyright clearance or confirm the public domain status of any items used. A strong preference for images in the public domain or available under Creative Commons or other open source copyrights. Should an author wish to use a copyrighted image under the fair use provisions, the Art Director will investigate the availability of a public domain alternative.
The Art Director is also responsible for the overall look and organization of the magazine, including fonts, text sizes, the ratio of images to text, suitable use of white space, etc.
