update Forum, drop Consuls
In this modern age, it's not simply appropriate, but necessary that The Augustan Society, Inc., engage the public, our members, and various Study Groups with social media of a type appropriate to the purpose.
==Forum== The Forum is a feature of our main website, and this was enabled in July 2016. It is under the direction of the Forum Moderator.
Facebook
This under the direction of the Facebook Moderator, is a public site used primarily to attract attention to the Society (and to block others from using our name there).

LinkedIn
There is an Augustan Society LinkedIn page. It is presently dormant, and serves primarily to reserve that name-space. No activity is expected until a Moderator is named.

YahooGroup
This under the direction of the Assistant Secretary, is a private forum intended for use by members of the Board, ConsulsHeadquarters staff, and the Chairmen of major committees to discuss Society business, and perhaps conduct some preliminary conversations about items to come before the Board.
It has been difficult to convince all directors to participate, and as a result this forum is rarely used.

YahooGroup
Because of storage limits and the tendency of these groups to involve different volunteers, this may be split into two or more groups in future.
YahooGroup
This under the direction of the ==Arms ChancellorAugustanHeraldry YahooGroup, is a private group for the members of the Heraldry Committee and Consuls to exchange files and maintain a database of petitions and registrations.==
==This under the direction of the ENS ForumArms Chancellor==, is a private group for the members of the Heraldry Committee and Headquarters staff to exchange files and maintain a database of petitions and registrations.
The Main Website, operating under EasyNetSites, includes a public forum feature. It was disabled at the order of the President as it did not have the ability to require a moderator's preview of posts. It could be reactivated by order of the President or Board if a moderator should come forth.
