The Augustan Society, Inc., is creating a '''Heraldry Index ''' to arms registered by the Society, and by other registries in the United States. This is felt to be a great need and potential service to the heraldic community in this non-armigerous nation. The associated web page is [[http://augustansociety.org/cpage.php?pt=29 here]].
The contents of the index will come from several sources:

It is also proposed that an An Ordinary of these arms be with English blazons is also benig created to aid in the identification of emblazonments. While this project is presently being conducted under the [[Communications|Communications Department]], it is hoped that the [[Heraldry|Heraldry Department]] will some day elect to pick it up.
