One of the subjects of the studied by members of The Augustan Society, Inc., is Ancient Egypt. Thus it is appropriate for the Society to include an '''Egyptology Study Group'''.
Presently inactive, The charter of this group may be revived at is, "The Egyptology Study Group studies the request history, culture, theology, architecture, archaeology, and language of any Member Egypt from its predynastic origins to the last historic inscription in [[Good Standing]]hieroglyphic script in the fifth century AD."
The first task of such a revived group would be to create a Charter to define the scope of their studies. There is a large clippings file left by the previous group. It contains many unidentified clippings and some unrelated items. This is now being screened by Headquarters staff will be shippd to discard the unidentified clippings and move the unrelated items to a more appropriate place. Books and periodicals Study Group as soon as they are being transferred to the [[Library]]ready.
