The Noble Company of the Rose, a dependency of The Augustan Society, Inc., has established several special funds for purposes that cover multiple years or which occur only occasionally, and which do not as a result fit into an annual budget system. The Rose Insignia Fund is one such.
The purpose of the Insignia Fund is to provide funding for the purpose of obtaining new insignia for sale to members. As this is an activity that need occur perhaps once per decade, it's prudent to collect the needed funds over an extended period of time.
In principle, all revenue from insignia sales, less the cost of shipping and other incidental expenses, should be placed in the Insignia Fund.
