The duties of the Chairman include:
* <ul><li>Administering the activities of the Chivalry Committee, including review of petitions for [[Recognition of Orders of Chivalry]] and [[Recognition of Membership and Rank in Orders of Chivalry]];</li>* <li>Appointing a Chivalry Committee Vice-Chairman within his first year in office, and keeping them sufficiently well informed that they may take over at need;</li>* <li>Appointing the members of the Chivalry Committee, including the chairmen of subcommittees and such others as he may see fit;</li>* <li>Assist or delegate, when called upon, with chivalric issues submitted by other committees; and</li>* <li>Coordinate projects that fall under the scope of this committee; and</li> <li>Submit an [[Annual Report]] to the [[Board]] each July, or at such other times as the Board or President may request, on the past year's activities and the following year's plans.</li></ul>
