==Procedure==
1. <ol><li>The petition, payment, and any supporting materials are received at Headquarters. [[Headquarters Staff]] will confirm receipt of payment and that there are no obvious defects in the petition. They will confirm the recognition of, or refer for confirmation, any claimed titles or postnominals. [1] They will then forward all to the [[Arms Chancellor]] [2] and notify the [[Justiciar General]] [3]. 2. The Justiciar General will examine the documents for completeness and consistency. He will resolve conflicts between multiple blazons and illustrations, and with the assistance of specific [[Vice-Justiciars]] or outside consultants, will obtain any needed translations, and creates a definitive English blazon from which an [[Heraldic Artist]] might work. [4] The Justiciar General will forward any amended files to the Arms Chancellor for recording. [5] 3. The Justiciar General will assign the English blazon to an [[Heraldic Artist]] to emblazon an illustration that is in full compliance with the blazon and with the needs of ''The [[Augustan Society Roll of Arms]]'' and [[Online Armorial]]. [6] The Heraldic Artist will be in possession of the standards and requirements for artwork for the ''Roll of Arms'' and will be in direct consultation with the [[Roll Editor]].</li>
4. The artwork will be returned to the Justiciar General (or Arms Chancellor, if so directed). <li>The Justiciar General will either grant temporary approval, or remand examine the artwork to the Heraldic Artist documents for amendmentcompleteness and consistency. A copy of the final certificate is forwarded (normally electronically) to the Arms Chancellor, Justiciar General, and Heraldic Artist.</li></ol>
