For a time, the principal journal of The Augustan Society, Inc., was The Augustan,. The previous title had been Augustan Society Information Bulletin and the following title The Augustan Omnibus. For a time, it carried the title Forebears.

The Augustan published 76? issues between 1967 and 1971?, and between 1973? and 2004 (during the gap the same material was published as Forebears. They were 8½×11" staple-bound, or included in the perfect-bound Augustan Society Omnibus, and ranged from 20 to 91 pages, with some published as double issues. All are available from the Augustan Society Online Store.

The uncertainty in the above paragraph is almost entirely due to uncertainty in the dates the journal was named Forebears, with a slight uncertainty about the date of the first issue. Routine maintenance on the Store should resolve these.

Subject material is now carried in The Augustan Omnibus.
