The Augustan Society, Inc., has assigned the task of [[Registration of Arms]] to the [[Heraldry Committee]]. (It was, for a time, delegated to an Arms Registration Committee, but that proved unworkablecommittee has been disbanded. ) It is under the direction of the [[Justiciar General]] (as the Chairman is styled), and he is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the [[President]]. Members of the Committee include:
* [[Deputy Justiciar General]], the style of the vice-chairman;
* [[Arms Chancellor]], the style of the secretary;
* [[Vice-Justiciars]] for each of the various nations nationalities or traditions of heraldry;* [[Heraldic Artists]], (note that artists for hire are not usually made members of the Committee);
* Such additional members as the Justiciar General may choose to appoint;
* And, ex officio, the [[President]] and [[Assistant Secretary]].
<li>Armorial devices for Society sub-groups are also handled by this committee, as are standards for such.</li>
<li>Pricing for registration will be based on several factors: <ol type="A"> <li>A certificate fee is set to cover by the cost [[Board|Board of forms, certificates, and mailings</li> <li>A registration fee set arbitrarily (presently $100)</li> <li>An artist fee set based on Directors]] upon the cost advice of professional artwork, even if the artwork is being done by volunteers, as follows: <ol type "i"> <li>Base fee is for shield, helmet, mantling, crest, Justiciar General and motto</li> <li>Additional fee for supporters and compartment</li> <li>Additional fee for each chivalric or noble additament (this does not apply to simple coronets of rank)</li> <li>Additional fee for royal pavilion</li> </ol></li> </ol>Assistant Secretary.</li>
