The Augustan Society, Inc., has assigned the task of [[Registration of Arms]] to the [[Heraldry Committee]]. (It was, for a time, delegated to an Arms Registration Committee, but committee has been disbanded. ) It is under the direction of the [[Justiciar General]] (as the Chairman is styled), and he is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the [[Heraldry CommitteePresident]] Chairman.
