While our positions are always based on thorough examination of solid evidence, we also deem academic reserve to be an important reflection of our espoused scholarly approach. The Augustan Society, in this regard, stands ready to recognize honors granted by pretenders with historically, genealogically, and legally credible claims to being the ''fons honorum'' or Grandmaster of a Dynastic Order.
