Changes

The chivalric activities of The Augustan Society, Inc., are largely conducted by the [[Chivalry Committee]]. This consists of a Chairman appointed by and serving at the pleasure of the [[President]], and such committee members as said Chairman may appoint, subject to the [[Policies|Policy on Committee Membership]].

Under a chairman named by the President, members with knowledge in this field serve primarily as advisers to the [[Board]]. Their particular duties include making recommendations on the [[Recognized Orders of Chivalry]] (and similar organizations), and on recognition of individuals' membership and rank in those organizations. They also assist the [[Assistant Webmaster for ENS]] in maintaining the list of commonly used postnominals. 

Those wishing the Society to recognize their Order or organization may petition for such membership. There is normally a charge for such reviews. They may also be instigated by the Chivalry Committee in ''moto propicio''.
