Most of the chivalric activities of The Augustan Society, Inc., are under the direction of the '''Chivlary Committee'''. It is lead by the [[Chivalry Committee Chairman]], who is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the [[President]]. The Chairman may appoint such other members to the Committee as he sees fit.
The responsibilities It is the responsibility of the Chivalry Committee includeto:
* Maintain a list of [[List of Recognized Orders|List of Recognized Chivalric Orders and Organizations of a Chivalric Nature]]* To review Review petition for [[Recognition of Membership and Rank in Orders]]* To maintain Maintain the list of [[List of Orders of Chivalry Qualifying for SDLKJ]] (Society of Descendants of the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem)* To support Support other Committees and Officers of the Society with questions about chivalry* To recommend Recommend books and periodicals on the topic to the [[Librarian]] for acquisition or withdrawal* To create Create such sub-committees as may be needed to more expeditiously attend to these responsibilities
