While The Augustan Society, Inc., has elected to discontinue operation of a museum[[Museum]], it will take some time and effort to intelligently sort the collection into discards, items to be sold, and items to retain for various reasons. Thus there is a continuing need for a Curator until such tasks are completed.
There is no protocol established for how the Curator might conduct his work, but it is expected that he will obtain expert assistance in pricing items for sale, or use a suitable public auction to obtain maximum return for the Society.
