One of the primary subjects of interest to members of The Augustan Society, Inc., is genealogy, and descents from William the Conqueror and his companions is of particular interest as we have a lineage group on the topic, the [[Society of Descendants of the Conquest]]. Thus it is appropriate for the Society to include a '''Descents from the Conquest Study Group''' to study such descents specifically.
Presently inactive, this This group is presently dormant, but may be revived at the request of by any interested Member in by petition to the [[Good StandingDean of Studies]].
The first task of such a revived group would be to create a Charter to define the scope and aim of their studies.
