One of the primary subjects studied by members of The Augustan Society, Inc., is genealogy, and the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem is of particular interest as we have a lineage group on the topic, the [[Society of Descendants of the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem]]. While there is a [[Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem Study Group]] that focuses on the history of the Kingdom. Thus , it is remains appropriate for the Society to include a Descents from the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem Study Group to study descents specifically.
