One of the primary subjects studied by members of The Augustan Society, Inc., is genealogy, and the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem is of particular interest as we have a lineage group on the topic, the [[Society of Descendants of the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem]]. While there is a [[Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem Study Group]] that focuses on the history of the Kingdom, it remains appropriate for the Society to include a '''Descents from the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem Study Group''' to study descents specifically.
Presently inactive, this group may be revived at the request of any interested Member in [[Good Standing]].
The first task of such a revived group would be to create a Charter to define the scope and aim of their studies.
