The purpose of the First Peoples Study Group of The Augustan Society, Inc., is to explore the native cultures of the Americas. It is lead by a Coordinator who is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Dean of Studies.

In the past, this Study Group was quite active and sponsored the First Peoples collection in the Library, the donation of artifacts and reproductions, and the occasional article for The Augustan Omnibus.

This group is presently dormant, but may be revived by any interested Member by petition to the Dean of Studies.
