One The purpose of the [['''First Peoples Study Groups]] Group''' of The Augustan Society, Inc., is to explore the First Peoples Study Groupnative cultures of the Americas. It is lead by a [[Coordinators|Coordinator]] who is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the [[Dean of Studies]].
''Note: At presentIn the past, this is still a Committee under the History Department. Conversion to a Study Group is being considered, but was quite active and sponsored the issue has not yet been presented to or approved by First Peoples collection in the Board. That said[[Library]], the operation donation of artifacts and reproductions, and the occasional article for ''[[Augustan Omnibus|The Augustan Omnibus]]''. This group is expected presently dormant, but may be revived by any interested Member by petition to be essentially the same under both organizations[[Dean of Studies]].''
This group does not, at present, have a charter to define its scope. That is the first task before them, and one hopes it will appear here soon.
