In pursuit The purpose of the study '''First Peoples Study Group''' of history, The Augustan Society, Inc., has created is to explore the native cultures of the Americas. It is lead by a First Peoples [[Study GroupCoordinators|Coordinator]]. This group who is headed by a Coordinator appointed by and serving serves at the pleasure of the [[Dean of Studies]] Chairman, or when that post is vacant, by the [[President]].
In the past, this group Study Group was quite active, and sponsored the First Peoples collection in the [[Library]], the donation of artifacts and reproductions, and the occasional article for the ''[[The Augustan Omnibus|''The Augustan Omnibus]]'']].
Current projects of this committeeThis group is presently dormant, as reported but may be revived by any interested Member by petition to headquarters, are:the [[Dean of Studies]].
* Drafting a charter for review and approval by the Dean of Studies and the [[Board]].
* Designing a logo for the committee in consultation with the [[Heraldry Committee]].
