The '''Fundraising Committee ''' of The Augustan Society, Inc., is responsible for all fundraising activities, and for advising on suitable pricing and profit margins for all products offered by the Society. It is normally chaired by the [[Treasurer]] or a [[Fundraising Chairman]] who is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Treasurer.
At present, the Treasurer being unable to shoulder this duty, the entire [[Board|Board of Directors]] have been seated as a Committee-of-the-Whole to serve as the Fundraising Committee, with the [[President]] serving as Chairman.
Current Active fundraising programs include:
* [[2014 Annual Fundraiser]] (complete, funds left in the General Fund)* [[2015 Fundraiser]] (complete, funds left in the General Fund)* [[2016 Fundraiser]] (in progress)
* [["Buy-A-Box"]] Program, to fund Library shelving and other equipment.
* ''[[Augustan Omnibus]]'' advertising
* [[Book Repair]] campaign
Other programs may existfrom time to time, and the [[Sub-Groups]] may operate their own fundraising programs outside the control of this Committee.
To date, the [[Budget]] has been adopted with fundraising goals that are set without consulting this Committee, possibly leading to unrealistic goals, but as the Board and Committee presently have identical membership, there is no recourse.
