The Genealogy Department and the Genealogy Committee of The Augustan Society, Inc., are headed by the Genealogy Committee Chairman. This person is responsible for do-ordinating the activities of the Genealogy Committeeand overseeing any subcommittees.
Some The duties of these entail the followingGenealogy Committee Chairman include: Establish and maintain standards of proof, with member input, for submitted lineages to our various subgroups that require themAssist, when called upon, to evaluate the accuracy of lineages submitted for said subgroups Co-ordinate projects that fall under the scope of this committee

Procedures for lineage approval:
3. If data is verified, application is approved.
4. If verifiable data is not listed in original application, or not forthcoming after it is requested, application is denied and applicant advised to try again later with verifiable sources
