* Chairing the [[History Committee]], including naming members of the Committee and of sub-committees;
* Soliciting articles for ''The [[Augustan Omnibus]]'' and books;
* Advising the [[Library]] on accessions, cataloging, and deaccessions;
* Creating and appointing chairmen for historical programs;
* Working with the [[Dean of Studies]] to create and support [[Study Groups]] that touch on history; and
* Having nominal charge of all history activities of the Society.
