<li>Administering the heraldic activities of the Society, including specifically the review of petitions for [[Registration of Arms]];</li>
<li>Appointing a [[Deputy Justiciar Genera]]l General (committee vice-chairman) within his first year in office, and keeping them sufficiently well informed that they may take over at need;</li>
<li>Appointing an [[Arms Chancellor]] to assist with tracking and record-keeping for arms registration, should he feel the need;</li>
