The Augustus Society, Inc., is a creation of law, and has at time need of an understanding of the law, legal advice, and in worst case, legal representation. To support these needs, it's appropriate to form a '''Legal Committee'''. It is lead by a [[Committee Chairmen|Chairman]] who is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the [[President]]. The Chaiman may appoint such members Members to his committee as he sees fit.
The duties of this committee will be as directed by the [[Board]], the [[Chairman]], or the [[President]]. It is expected that calls for this committee's assistance will routinely be referred to the Legal Committee Chairman by these three.
If a Legal Committee is formed, the President will be an ex officio member.
