nomenclature
In order that The Augustan Society, Inc., understand the range of interests of the members, and to identify potention volunteers, it has been determined that a periodical Member Interest Survey should be conducted. It may be reasonable to include such a survey in new member materials so as to more quickly engage new members.
The Membership Committee-of-the-Whole, in consultation with the Editor-in-Chief will design and conduct the surveys, with assistance from Headquarters Staff as appropriate.
It is exected that the survey include questions on each of the major categories of Society activity: Chivalry, Genealogy, Heraldry, History, Royalty & Nobility, Communications, Library, the Sub-Groups, and the varied Study Groups. Where cooperation from these groups are not forthcoming, efforts must be made to cover those areas, if only to see who might be willing to serve as Chairmen.
It has not yet been decided if such surveys should be online only, print only, or online with print backup. Headquarters Staff recommend the latter for greatst coverage at minimum cost.
