In order to recruit and retain members, The Augustan Society, Inc., has need of a '''Membership & Marketing Committee'''. It is chaired by the Membership & Marketing Committee Chairman, who is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the [[President]].
Members of the Committee are appointed by the Chairman as he sees fit, with the President and [[Headquarters Staff]] as ex-officio members. The Committee is responsible for providing the overall leadership, planning, and oversight for the Society's strategy for membership developmentand marketing.
Duties of the committee include:
* <ul><li>Driving and leading new membership growth, satisfaction, and retention;</li>* <li>Conducting periodic [[Member Interest Survey|Member Interest Surveys]] to monitor members interests and identify potential volunteers;</li>* <li>Conducting periodic [[Skill Needs Survey|Skill Needs Surveys]] to determine what skills are needed by the various Committees and Sub-Groups;</li> <li>Ensuring strategic focus and alignment with the Society's organization objectives, operational strategy, and market needs;</li>* <li>Developing programs and services directed towards building stronger relationships between the Society and its members;</li>* <li>Growing the Society's global membership base.</li></ul>
At times, sub-committees have been created and assigned some of these duties:
* Membership Recruitment Sub-Committee was assigned the task of recruiting new members through personal contact, public speaking, and advertising. Disbanded February 2021.
* Marketing Committee was assigned the task of marketing the Society outside of member recruitment. Merged into the Membership & Marketing Committee in March 2021. Membership & Marketing Committee members should demonstrate understanding of the : <ul><li>The overall member experience and membership performance, including member needs globally and by areas of interest, analyzing ;</li> <li>Analysis and preparing preparation of plans to address differences and similarities across groups. This includes developing ;</li> <li>Developing and orchestrating the enterprise-wide member value proposition; defining </li> <li>Defining the member research agenda and priorities; overseeing </li> <li>Overseeing integrated member benefits; and overseeing </li> <li>Overseeing membership segments development ; and </li> <li>Overseeing product management activities.</li></ul>
