,collection purge and move
The Augustan Society, Inc., had as part of its mission the construction and maintenance of a museum'''Museum'''. In 2015 it was decided to drop the word "museum" from the [[Mission Statement]]. At this time, the museum project has been changed to dividing perform the collection into several categoriesfollowing tasks:
* Items Identify items of no worth to be discarded.* Items Identify items of some worth, but no relevance, which will be sold, donated, or discarded.* Items Identify items that were the personal property of the [[Founder]], which will be delivered to his heir (or possibly sold at her direction).* The Ship the philatelic and numismatic collectionscollection to the Coordinator of the Philatelic Study Group, once named. Should that group remain dormant, which warrant careful review needs to be conducted before sale or retention is decided upon.* Items Ship the photograph collection to the Coordinator of the Photograph Identification Study Group for identification.* Identify items that speak to the history of the Society or individual members, which will be retained.* Items Identify items that will be useful to furnish or decorate a [[Headquarters]], which will be retained.* Items Identify items that will be useful to furnish or decorate the [[Chapel of the Rose]], whose ultimate disposition will be at the discretion of the [[Superintendent of the Chapel]], and move them to a separate storage unit when possible.
