The Augustan Society, Inc., has the study of numismatics (coins) within its purview, and it is delegated to the '''Numismatic Study Group ''' to conduct that study. In the natural course of events, this study has included compiling a small collection of coins.
These coins are used both for the study thereof, and photographs or rubbings of same maybe used to illustrate Society publications. To this end, a small collection that display images of monarchs, seals, heraldry, and perhaps other topics should rightly be held, even while this Study Group is inactive.
