The Augustan Society, Inc., recognizes Orders of Chivalry and Titles of Royalty and Nobility, all of which are necessarily dependent upon a legitimate ''fons honorum''. Thus it is appropriate that the Society have a procedure for review and '''Recognition of ''Fontes Honorum'''.''
Responsibility for review of proposed recognition lies with the [[Royalty & Nobility Committee]], which has not yet . They have established a procedure or petition forms for such. The procedure should be listed here once it has been agreed upon[[House Recognition Procedure]] that details the process they will follow.
The Fees are normally charged for such recognition, but the [[Royalty & Nobility Chairman|Chairman]] has the authority to , at his sole discretion, may waive such fees when the petition comes from Members. He does not have that authority when is submitted by a [[Directors|Director]] or a non-member makes petition. That said, the Committee will consider and vote on recommending recognition to the Board. Note that a favorable recommendation requires assent from a majority of the members of the Royalty & Nobility Committee, less any who are obliged to recuse themselves. The number, but not the identity, of those assenting must be submitted to Headquarters.
