The Noble Company of the Rose, a subsidiary of The Augustan Society, Inc., includes the office of '''Rose Herald''', who is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the ''[[Magister Rosae]]'', subject to confirmation by the [[Board]].
Statutory duties include:
*Serving as a member of the [[Rose Council of the Noble Company]].
Duties presumed are management of the heraldic affairs of the Noble Company. These might be expected to include:
*Confirming the armigerous status of potential members;*Assisting potential members and [[Rose Associate Members]] with the [[Registration of Arms|registration of their arms ]] with the Society;*Maintaining a record of the arms of all members, particularly the Society [[Registration Members and Associates of Arms|Registrations of Arms]]the Noble Company; and*Editing the [[Rose Roll of Arms]] in cooperation with the [[Communications|Communications Department]].
