One of the major subject areas of The Augustan Society, Inc., is the study of royalty and nobility. Thus it is appropriate for the Society to include a '''Royalty & Nobility Study Group'''. Note that this is different from the [[Royalty & Nobility Committee]], which has certain official duties, though it would not be surprising to see significant overlap in the memberships.
Presently inactive, this This group was once a committee large enough to publish it's own magazine, ''[[Royalty & Monarchy]]'', and to collaborate with the [[Genealogy|Genealogy Committee]] on ''The [[Journal of Royal & Noble Genealogy]]''. The This group is presently dormant, but may be revived at the request of by any interested Member in by petition to the [[Good StandingDean of Studies]].
The first task of such a revived group would be to create a Charter to define the scope of their studies, especially as the term "Nobility" is subject to interpretation.
