One of the primary topics studied by members of The Augustan Society, Inc., is genealogy, and a significant element of that field involves the study of ships passenger lists. These lists have been published by many sources, some hard to find, making an index a useful addition to this field. Thus it is appropriate to have a Ships Passenger List Index Study Group.

Presently inactive, this group may be reactivated upon the interest of any Member in Good Standing.

The first task of such a revived group would be to create a Charter to define the scope of their studies.
