One of the primary topics studied by members of The Augustan Society, Inc., is genealogy, and a significant element of that field, particularly for US genealogies, is the study of ships passenger lists. These lists have been published by many sources, some hard to find, making an index a useful addition to this field. Thus it is appropriate to have a Ships Passenger List Index Study Group.
Presently inactive, this group may be reactivated by any interested Member.
The first task of such a revived group would be to create a Charter to define the scope of their studies.
