One of the books being developed by the [[Communications|Communications DepartmentNoble Company of the Rose]] (a dependency of The Augustan Society, Inc.), is: ''' ''Vigil: A Knights Training Program''.'''
This training program is to be a second edition of the program originally written by the late Wilson Van Dusen, MRE, and supplemented by the instructional materials written by Thomas Westgaard and such other material as may be found or created.
The book is to be used intended primarily as a text by for the [[Rose Training Program]], and it development is hoped that development will be coordinated with being conducted by that office. Interested members may apply to the head of that program if they wish to volunteer to help.
If the book finds itself is found useful in that arena, it is proposed that a cooperative effort be undertaken with various [[Recognized Orders of Chivalry]] to customize editions for their use. The [[Books Editor]] will have responsibility for publishing this work. The [[Production Editor]] will have responsibility for printing, if done in-house. The [[Secretary]] (through their duty as marketing officer) will promote it and consult on pricing.
This project is presently assigned to the Communications Department, as the activity was left fallow for more than a year by another department. It would not seem unreasonable to assign it to either the [[Chivalry|Chivalry Department]], the [[Noble Company of the Rose]], or some combination of the three departments, provided that each department can name a member willing to accept the responsibility.
