The officers of the [[Order of the Augustan Eagle]], a dependency of The Augustan Society, Inc., include the '''Chief of the Order'''.

According to the [[Rule of the Order]], this officer is at all times the [[President]] of the Society, and serves until such time as another President is elected.

Statutory duties include:
* Chairing meetings of the [[Eagle Council]];
* Appointing all other officers of the Order, subject to [[Board]] confirmation;
* Inviting qualified Augustans to membership in the Order as he may deem fit; and
* Admitting as Honorary Members or Patrons those he may deem fit.

The [[Eagle Grand Chancellor]] having been delegated the responsibilities of administration of the Order, and the [[Eagle Grand Marshal]] having been delegated the responsibility to arrange meetings, it would seem the Chief of the Order will have few other duties beyond oversight.
