The Cataloging Fund of The Augustan Society, Inc., was created from a $10,000 grant from Anonymous Donor #2, who stipulated that it be used to defray the costs of cataloging the Library collection.
To date, this has been used for incidental expenses, staff mileage, and for a time rental of a storage unit to hold personal property of the Consuls to permit a room of their house to be used for cataloging. This last ended during the turmoil of 2012, and is not expected to resume.
It is hoped that once the bulk of the cataloging is complete, the donor will permit any balance to be used for other library-related purposes.
