It has been proposed that The Augustan Society, Inc., create the office of Executive Director. This will require a majority vote of the Board to put the matter on the ballot, and a majority vote of the members to amend the By-Laws. Until that time, the qualifications, duties, and authority of this theoretical office are but theories. The Society does not have the office of Executive Director.
Note: The contract with Consuls permit them to style themselves in many ways, including "Executive Director". This is so that those unfamiliar with the term consul (which is most of the modern world) can more readily understand the authority of the consul using that title. It has no bearing on an office by the same name, and authority to use that title will of course be rescinded by the creation of such an office.
