Two of the topics studied by members of The Augustan Society, Inc., are royalty & nobility and genealogy. The junction of these two form a special topic worthy of independent study. Thus it is appropriate for the Society to include a Royal & Noble Genealogy Study Group.

Presently inactive, this group has at times generated and recorded royal lineages and genealogies that have been published in Society journals. They are a natural adjunct to the Descents from Antiquity Study Group and might offer occasional support to the Family of Augustans Study Group.

The first task of such a revived group would be to create a Charter to define the scope of their studies.
