The Genealogy Committee of The Augustan Society, Inc., is considering addition of a new service that reviews and Certifies Lineages submitted to the Society for that purpose. The exact standards of this approval have not yet been defined. They will likely be based on the Genealogical Proof Standard, which means significantly more work will be required than for Approved Lineages.

A further enhancement has been suggested to expand from lineages to Certified Genealogies, which would include a base individual and all known ancestors and their spouses. Work on this has been tabled until Certified Lineages are up and running.
