One of the topics that unites and illuminates a number of the subjects studied by members of The Augustan Society, Inc., is cartography. Thus it is appropriate for the Society to include a Cartography Study Group.
Presently inactive, this group has previously taken charge of the Society's map collection, assisting with the use of same in support of research and publication, often to the extent of creating new maps to address geography covered by various articles published in The Augustan Omnibus. It is hoped that these services would form the core of a revived group.
The first task of such a revived group would be to create a Charter to define the scope of their studies.
