/* AugustanBoard YahooGroup */ killed
In this modern age, it's not simply appropriate, but necessary that The Augustan Society, Inc., engage the public, our members, and various workgroups Study Groups with social media of a type appropriate to the purpose. ==Forum== The Forum is a feature of our Main Website, and is under the direction of the Forum Moderator. As that office is presently vacant, the Forum has been disabled.
Facebook
This under the direction of the Facebook Moderator, is a public site used primarily to attract attention to the Society (and to block others from using our name there).

LinkedIn
There is an Augustan Society LinkedIn page. It is presently dormant, and serves primarily to reserve that name-space. No activity is expected until a volunteer moderator is named.

YahooGroup
This under the direction of the Assistant Secretary, is was a private forum intended for use by members of the Board , Headquarters Staff, and the Chairmen of major committees to discuss Society business, and perhaps conduct some preliminary conversations about items to come before the Board. It is presently inactive for lack was under the moderation of participationthe Webmaster. This group was deactivated by order of the President, with only the Webmaster retaining membership. It may be quickly reactivated at need.
YahooGroup
Volunteers convert the PDF fileslatter into OCR (or DOC)files more nearly suitable for publication. It is also used by the

Photo ID Collection Study Group to post photographs — Scans of photos from the Society's collection in hopes members will visit are posted here to solicit identification of the people and places depicted.

Because of storage limits and help identify the persons showntendency of these groups to involve different volunteers, this may be split into two or more groups in future
YahooGroup
This under the direction of the Arms Chancellor, it's is a private group for the members of the Arms Registration Heraldry Committee and Staff to exchange files and maintain a database of petitions and registrations. It is presently inactive.
Twitter
A Twitter account has been proposed for the Society, but it has not yet been implemented for lack of a moderator and a source of frequent data to post. It is not expected that this will be activated until and unless the Facebook page gets a moderator and decent support, at which point diverting some of that data flow to Twitter will become relatively trivial.
ENS Forum
The Main Website, operating under EasyNetSites, includes a public forum feature. It was presently disabled at the order of the President as it did not have the ability to require a moderator's preview of posts. It could be reactivated by order of the President or Board if a moderator should come forth.
