From 1999 to 2006, The Augustan Society, Inc., was headquartered in a complex in Daggett, California, which we named the "Villa Augusti". The complex included the main building with library and residence, an office, and two facilities that could house visiting guests.
The purchase of the property was made possible by a grant from an anonymous member, later revealed to be Cdr. George R. Balling, OAE. The sale of the property was necessitated by the high cost of maintenance and operation, which could not be sustained as activities declined along with the health of our Founder.
Subsequent to the Villa Augusti, the Society has been headquartered in the home of the Consuls, later Assistant Secretary and Treasurer, in Orlando, Florida.
