By-Laws and other Rules

The Augustan Society, Inc., is a corporation, and thus has certain legal documents that control operations. These may be amended, but with (deliberate) difficulty.

The Society has also established a variety of rules to guide operations. These may be amended or waived at need with much less difficulty.

The Board has also adopted Policies, which are covered elsewhere.

These rules include:

1. By-Laws, which are kept online at our Web Site
2. Standing Rules of the Board of Directors, which are kept online at our Web Site
3. Statement of Philosophy, which is kept online at our Web Site
4. Mission Statement, which is kept online at our Web Site
5. Vision Statement, which is kept online at our Web Site
6. Five-Year Plan, since abandoned by the Board
7. "Augustan 75" (Long-Range Plan), since abandoned by the Board

Some Society history and rules are embedded in the records of the Hartwell Company. These have not yet been reviewed.
