Most of the chivalric activities of The Augustan Society, Inc., are under the direction of the Chivlary Committee. It is lead by the [[Chivalry Committee Chairman]], who is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the [[President]]. The Chairman may appoint such other members to the Committee as he sees fit.
The primary activities responsibilities of the Chivalry Committee areinclude:
# * Maintain a [[List of Recognized Orders|List of Recognized Chivalric Orders and Organizations of a Chivalric Nature]]# * To review petition for [[Recognized Chevaliers|Recognition of membership Membership and rank Rank in Orders]]# * To maintain the [[List of Orders of Chivalry Qualifying for SDLKJ|Maintain a list of Chivalric Orders qualifying one for membership]] in the [[(Society of Descendants of the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem)* To support other Committees and Officers of the Society with questions about chivalry* To recommend books and periodicals on the topic to the [[Librarian]]for acquisition or withdrawal* To create such sub-committees as may be needed to more expeditiously attend to these responsibilities
