The Augustan Society, Inc., has determined that there are situations that warrant the election of a member of the Society to a position of some honor that cannot be reflected by the existing honors system. To address this they have created the office of '''Director Emeritus'''.
Directors Emeriti must be elected to the position by a 2/3 majority of the total number of members of the [[Board|Board of Directors]], excluding the candidate if then a [[Directors|Director]]. Their status must be confirmed by a majority vote annually.
The duties of this office are:
* Director Emerita, woman
* Directors Emeritae, women
