In order to envision the future of The Augustan Society, Inc., the Board apointed a Long-Range Planning Committee, nicknamed "Augustan 75", to prepare such a plan. This committee was active in 2013 and 2014.

The reason for the "Augustan 75" nickname was the target date of 2032, the 75th anniversary of the Society.

After failing to address their original charge, the Committee asked for, and was granted, a change in title and purpose to the Planning Committee, which see.
