In order to envision the future of The Augustan Society, Inc., the Board apointed a Long-Range Planning Committee, nicknamed "Augustan 75", to prepare such a plan. This committee was active in 2013 and 2014.

The reason for the "Augustan 75" nickname was the target date of 2032, the 75th anniversary of the Society.

After failing to address their original charge the Committee asked for, and was granted, a change in title and purpose to the Five-Year Planning Committee, which see.

Consuls continue to believe that the Society needs to take a longer-term view than five years, seeing as some important projects may take longer to accomplish, and will be renewing their call for same once the Five-Year Planning Committee submits their first five-year report.
