The Augustan Society, Inc., has the study of numismatics (coins) within its purview, and it is delegated to the Numismatic Study Group to conduct that study. In the natural course of events, this study has included compiling a small collection of coins.

These coins are used both for the study thereof, and photographs or rubbings of same maybe used to illustrate Society publications. To this end, a small collection that display images of monarchs, seals, heraldry, and perhaps other topics should rightly be held, even while this Study Group is inactive.

At present, some of the numismatic collection has been found among the library materials. The numbering on the boxes suggests that there is more yet to be found. The total fitting into a single box, the collection is presently being stored in the Equipment Room.

Books on the topic are to be shelved in the library.
